Systematics welcomes Rostselmash to Shipments Exchange

Systematics International Ltd is delighted to welcome Rostselmash to the Combines & Foragers Shipments Exchange, via the Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (Rosagromash).

The International Shipments Exchange has a great international cover and Systematics is pleased to continue to grow its membership with Rosagromash, which has 107 member organisations producing 90 per cent of the total volume of agricultural machinery and equipment manufactured in Russia.

Rostselmash, based in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, is one of the five largest manufacturers of combine harvesters and agricultural machinery in the world. Founded in 1929, it primarily produces combine harvesters.

Below is a brief history of the company:

1929

The first Rostselmash products are delivered to the state.

1931

Production of first Stanilets combine harvesters. The Stalinets-1 model received with the highest award, the diploma Grand Prix, at the World Industrial Exhibition in Paris in 1937.

1940

The 50,000th combine harvester Stalinets-1 is assembled.

1941

The Rostselmash site is evacuated during World War Two, with its equipment disassembled and sent to Tashkent.

1943

Rostov-on-Don is liberated by troops of the South Front. Preparation for military goods production is started, while technical servicing of tanks, tractors and motor vehicles is also organised.

1947

Production starts on new Stalinets-6 combine harvesters.

1955

Rostselmash starts to specialise in the production of grain combine harvesters.

1958

Production begins on the first self-propelled combine harvesters, СК-3.

1962

Rostselmash begins producing new models of combine harvesters, СК-4.

1969

Rostselmash produces its one millionth combine harvester.

1973

The plant changes over to the new model of combine harvesters, Niva.

1984

The two millionth combine harvester is produced.

1986

The famous combine harvester, Don, is put into series production.

1992

The plant is reorganised into an open joint-stock company, having previously been a state-owned enterprise.

2000

Rostselmash becomes a private company.

2005

Rostselmash wins an award at the SIMA-2005 innovation competition in France.

2007

Rostselmash purchases a tractor plant in Canada – Buhler VERSATILE.

2010

Rostselmash purchases assets of American company Feterl Manufacturing Corp.

2010

The Rostselmash range consists of 18 types of agricultural machinery and more than 100 models and versions of combine harvesters, tractors, forage harvesting towed and suspended machinery, machinery for grain storage and processing.
