Systematics International was formed in 1972 as a private, family-owned business to provide a range of global statistical reports and consultancy services to manufacturing industries worldwide, with a particular specialism in processing UK agricultural registration data.
Although proud of our UK beginning, we have rapidly grown into a diverse and multicultural company which prides itself on looking forward and thinking globally.
In 1987, the company was acquired by Metal Bulletin (MB) Group, a specialist international publisher and information provider for the global steel, non-ferrous and scrap metals markets.
In 2000, Christine Bhatt joined the company as Business Development Manager, being promoted to Managing Director three years later, after successfully doubling the company’s turnover.
The parent company, Metal Bulletin Group, was bought out by international publishing group Euromoney Institutional Investor in 2006, whose core business activities did not match those of Systematics.
With this in mind, Christine led a successful management buy-out (MBO) of Systematics, enabling the company to continue focusing on data processing, as well as to invest considerable sums of money into training its staff to a very high standard.
A year later, the company relocated to its current premises in Battlesbridge, Essex, from where Systematics has gone from strength to strength, thanks to its state-of-the-art technological system, which has provided a solid foundation to the business.
Christine’s husband, Manuel, came on board in August 2012 as Chief Finance and Strategic Planning Officer to help take the business further forward.
Together, Christine and Manuel have reinvented Systematics as an outward-looking global company, always looking for new opportunities and always innovating new data processing solutions. Under their leadership, the company is characterised by its forward-thinking, increasingly international outlook.
Today, Systematics is hugely proud of the diversity of the markets it operates in, its workforce and its values. The firm is looking to the future, and prides itself on its ongoing innovation.
In 2016, Systematics was named best in the region for customer service at the Essex Countywide Business Awards. This honour followed a previous Excellent Customer Service Award win at the South Essex Business Awards, which came shortly after the company scored a 100 per cent client satisfaction rating in an independent marketing survey.
2017 saw Systematics being crowned the Small Business of the Year is the prestigious Essex Business Excellence Awards.
