Christine Bhatt, Chief Executive Officer of leading Essex firm, Systematics International Ltd, has been shortlisted for an award at the Institute of Directors East of England Awards.
Christine has helped to shape the Battlesbridge-based data processing firm into one of the world’s top providers of market information for manufacturers of agricultural, construction, material handling and mobile crane equipment.
The IoD East of England awards celebrate the very best of the region’s business leaders. They are a public recognition of the key role that directors play, not only in the UK’s economy but also in job preservation and creation. They place emphasis on individual excellence and achievement, which Christine has clearly shown since she took over the company via a management buyout in 2007 and her subsequent role in transforming the business into a key operator in its field with contribution to the local business and greater community.
Judges also recognised the exceptional work that the wider team at Systematics does and the fantastic response that the firm gets from its clients thanks to the high quality of the service it provides.
Speaking about her shortlisting, Christine said: “We are delighted that the Institute of Directors, East of England has recognised not only my achievements, but the wider success that Systematics has enjoyed in the last year.
“As the world’s economy slows, certain businesses in our sector have faced greater uncertainty, but we continue to grow and expand our offering by innovating our fantastic package of services.
“Much of the success of the firm comes back to the exceptional efforts of our team at Systematics and much thanks must go to them as well.”
Christine and the firm will find out if they have won an award at a special ceremony due to be held on Friday 14 June 2019 at the Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket.
Manuel Bhatt, Chief Finance and Strategic Planning Officer at Systematics, added: “Christine is very modest and will rarely blow her own trumpet without recognising the fantastic work of our team, but much of the success of our firm and our drive for greater innovation is the result of Christine’s guidance and leadership. We are, therefore, very excited that she is gaining the recognition that she rightly deserves.”
Earlier this year, Systematics were declared winners of a prestigious Digital Innovation Award at the Federation of Small Business East of England Awards.
