Toyota, has once again been confirmed as the world’s largest supplier of forklift trucks, according to the latest rankings published by influential German magazine dhf-intralogistik.

Combined global sales of its brands – Toyota, Raymond, CESAB and BT – accounted for 22.06% in 2014/15 (up from 20.72%) of the world market in turnover, according to the calculations of dhf-intralogistik.

The Kion Group – with brands including Linde, Still, OM, Fenwick and Baoli – remained in a solid second place with 15.66% slipping back again slightly from the previous year (16.39%).

These two were once again well clear of Jungheinrich in third with 8.36% of the market, almost exactly the same as the previous year’s 8.35%.

Completing the top five global manufacturers were Hyster-Yale (previously Nacco) – its Yale and Hyster brands are distributed in the UK by Briggs Equipment – and another US owned manufacturer Crown Equipment, each of them holding the same positions as in 2013/14 with 6.97% and 6.30% market share respectively.

Once again the only change to the top 10 from a year ago is by Mitsubishi, which leap-frogged over Cargotec to move into sixth place. The top 10 was completed by Manitou and Anhui Heli.
