Systematics in the community

On Sunday 20 September, a member of the Systematics team took part in a charity run. We are once again extremely pleased to have sponsored Jade Britton on this sponsored fun run and are so proud of her for taking the time and effort to support another worthwhile cause.

Jade said:  “I took part in a 5k sponsored fun run – called The Goat Gallop –  in Kent to raise money for a small charity. Buttercups Goat Sanctuary is the only charity in the UK that cares solely for the welfare of goats. They rescue abandoned, abused and neglected goats as well as help those that simply need a new home.

“Caring for between 130 and 150 goats in the sanctuary at any one time, the goats can roam over open fields during the day and have warm, dry, undercover accommodation at night in either individual stalls or with a close companion.

“Buttercups is funded solely by charitable donations and I am delighted to have raised a total of £311 in sponsorship for completing the run.

“This was my first race since becoming a runner and I am proud that I made it round the hilly course and I’m pleased to have raised vital funds for a great charity.”
