World Challenge Organisation is a provider of life-changing school expeditions and for over 27 years they have been organising student trips abroad, which gives them the global reach, vision and resources to create bespoke educational programmes.
World Challenge expeditions are designed to develop important life skills, helping students to:
- Hone teamwork and leadership
- Gain confidence and self-esteem
- Become more globally aware
- Enhance employment prospects
World Challenge are 100% educationally focused, and every programme they run is designed with students’ personal development in mind. This is achieved through experiential learning and gaining new skills such as the management of money, decision making, learning from mistakes, leadership skills and working as a team.
Systematics International Ltd will be supporting this expedition via the Southend High School for Girls. Through this organisation, a group of students will take part in a four-week educational expedition to South America in July 2016. This scheme will enable them to visit both Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where they will be involved in helping the community and participating in young person’s projects. These will involve working alongside the local people to renovate a school as well as helping to teach English to the children. As part of the ‘challenge phase,’ they will also be trekking in different parts of the countries.
This is a unique opportunity and is a challenging expedition for the students that will significantly benefit the local community as well as teach them valuable life skills such as leadership, communication and team work.
Naturally, the students have an enormous task to raise funds that will enable them to cover their costs for the expedition and Systematics will be supporting this worthwhile cause.
