Systematics in the Community – Christine chairs IoD ‘Aspirations in Business’ event

Back in the autumn, Systematics’ CEO Christine Bhatt chaired a hugely popular event on behalf of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

The IoD’s 2017 Aspirations in Business conference, a prominent annual event which encourages 16 to 19-year-olds to consider entrepreneurship as a career option, took place in mid-November at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.

As part of her role as IoD Essex Chair, Christine led an exciting programme featuring a number of prominent guest speakers, such as Co-Founder & Director of Chatham Chaps, Jordan Holder, CEO & Founder of EnSpirit Global, Baiju Solanki, and more.

Students from across Essex who attended the event – which was funded by Make Happen, a subsidiary of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme – took part in an exciting enterprise activity in order to help them demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills.

Pupils from Southend High for Boys, Hylands School and The King Edmund School had the opportunity to showcase their skills in organising their School Prom events, as well as raising money for charity during the process.

Christine Bhatt, CEO at Systematics, said: “The Aspirations in Business event offered living proof that today’s children from in and around Essex have the skills, drive and ambition to be the successful entrepreneurs and business leaders of our future.

“The event was a huge success, and I am delighted that so many children and business people attended.”
