This year, Systematics has paired up with the Construction Equipment Association (CEA) in a bid to handle the UK’s construction equipment statistics exchange on behalf of manufacturers.
Systematics has now taken control of the data exchange from Machinery Research Limited, which ceased trading earlier this year.
The UK statistics exchange for construction equipment is a well-established and highly regarded source of market information for equipment suppliers to the UK market. However, Systematics has a solid track record of providing high quality statistical reports to manufacturing industries worldwide, using web based systems, and is clearly the right company for the job.
For key industries, Systematics has formed strategic alliances with trade associations to provide the right combination of knowledge and expertise to clients and companies operating within the industry.
This tried-and-tested approach will now also be followed in the construction equipment industry, where a partnership has been formed with the CEA, the UK trade association for construction equipment, which has more than 130 members involved in supplying equipment, attachments, components, materials, services and technology within the industry.
The existing statistics exchange for construction equipment consists of 12 different product types, and detailed reports on unit sales are provided on a quarterly basis for scheme participants. Under the new partnership with the CEA, quarterly bulletins will be issued publically for the first time, covering total industry sales, to provide guidance to the wider industry on how the equipment market is progressing in the UK.
One of the main objectives of the new partnership is for the two organisations to work together to develop the scope of the statistics scheme to increase its value for the industry.
Rob Oliver, CEO at the CEA, said: “We are impressed with the capability and professionalism of Systematics. It was a natural choice for us to partner with them to ensure our members receive the best possible market information”.
Christine Bhatt, CEO at Systematics, added: “We are delighted that the construction equipment manufacturers have given Systematics the opportunity to manage the UK sales statistics data exchange, which will now deliver independent, accurate and timely information through our innovative web-based systems.
“We are excited to be working with the CEA and sharing a knowledge base to the mutual benefit of members and the wider industry.”
